Claresholm Park hopping & Nature study group
Let’s gather together on Wednesday mornings to play and learn outdoors! The idea of this group is to have a regular meeting place where all the kids can get together to freely play, explore and learn outdoors! This will be a casual open ended group with some regular structure to keep things balanced.
Amundsen park will be our default meeting place but we can play it week by week and hop around town and surrounding to see new places and explore new areas!
Come prepared with water bottles, snacks for your family and weather appropriate clothing and gear! For the nature study portion of this group all you need is a thick paged journal, your usual colouring and drawing tools and/or some optional watercolours. If you have any nature study resources bring them along with you, there is a list of resources on this page for inspiration.
The idea is just to be together, have a regular meeting routine and then let the rest come together! The options and opportunities are endless! From outdoor nature crafts, building stick structures, games, bushcraft, widdling, foraging, climbing trees, going for walks, playing in a creek.. it goes on and on!
We will use the Signal Messaging App to stay in touch as a group, to join the group, download the app and text your name to 587-585-6520 to be added to the group! https://signal.org
